Learn to ride Balance Scooter

Balance Scooter is a high tech product that uses a series of algorithms for auto-blance as well as gyroscopes to achieve forward and backward motion, turning, acceleration and neutral balance. The rider commands the sense of motion, turning, speed and deceleration by gently shifting the body weight and pressure on the pedal sensors. Pressure sensors under the pedals dettect small variations and send the signal to the wheel motors,  each wheel operates independently from each other.

Pedal sensors
There are 4 sensors under the pedals, 2 under each pedal. When the sensor feels pressure it engages the motor and the wheel will start moving in the direction the more pressure was felt. Always step on the rubber pedals, do not step on the fenders or center section. Never put anything other than your feet on the pedals.

Indicator panel
The status lights are under the screens on the center section of the vehicle. A. Battery indicator: Green light means full charge, yellow light means that the battery has around 50% charge,  red light means only a 20% charge remains and you need to recharge. B. Operation light: When the pedal sensors are engaged the light turns green, if there is an operation error or the vehicle is not steady the light will turn red.

Getting familiar with the vehicle takes a few minutes. Always take safety precautions and wear protective gear, it is highly recommended to wear a helmet regardless your age.

FAQ

Maximum range
The maximum range is around 10-20km and it can vary depending the following conditions: Terrain type: Flat, uneven, steep, smooth, rough. User weight: The maximum user weight is 120kg Ambient temperature: Extreme temperatures affect the battery performance Battery: If the battery is not fully charged when riding the range will be reduced. Speed and riding habits: Constant acceleration and deceleration, constant top speed riding will decrease the range.

Speed
The maximum speed is 10km/h. When the top speed has been reached there will be beeping audio alert.

Charging the battery
To charge the battery connect the charger to the vehicle first, then connect the other end to the wall plug, otherwise the vehicle may not recognize the charger. Always use the included battery charger, full charge of a depleted battery takes around 2hrs and 10 min. At 90 minutes the battery will reach 80% of its capacity. if the charger led indicator turns green means the battery is fully charged and you can unplug it, if the light is red it means it’s still charging.

Product care
When in use the product could emit audio alerts which are important to understand and if necessary stop operating:
 -Surface angle exceeds 15°
-Battery power is too low -Motors are overheating and overcharging
-Top speed has been reached (10km/h)*
-You have been balancing in neutral position for over 30 seconds
-Motor system has entered in overcharging protection mode. (Solid green light with sound)
-The street is too steep (slope is over 35°) and you continue to ride, the motors will shut down in 15 seconds
-If the motor in any of the wheels gets blocked for over 2 seconds (debris or foreign objects) it will shut down
-If the battery is too low and continue to ride the motors will shut down in 15 second.

Riding guidance
This section is about understanding the product and taking precautions, read and understand the instructions before operating the vehicle. There is always the possibility of loss of control, crashing into objects or persons or falling off caused by unrelated circumstances to the vehicle. Always know your limits and the limits of the vehicle.
-Always make sure your feet soles are steady and centered to the rubber pedals, the  pressure sensore are underneath.
-Always wear appropriate clothing and shoes, never ride barefoot.
-Only one rider, no pets, no cargo, no passengers -Never carry any object or heavy load that affects your balance.
-Always keep your distance with pedestrians, pets, objects and other riders.
-Be conscious, do not ride downhill on steep streets that will cause sudden acceleration and  result in loss of control. -It is adviceable that you always try to step off the vehicle backwards, the inertia of the vehicle when in motion or decelerating may cause it to hit your ankles.
-The vehicle has no brakes, you must gradually decelerate to slow down to turn or come to a  complete stop.
-Reduce the speed for sharp turns, avoid sudden maneuvers that can make you lose balance and result in loss of control.
-Always focus on your riding, avoid distractions such as texting or making cell phone calls.
-Do not disassemble or try to repair the vehicle, if repair or service is needed contact the manufacturer or the store where you purchased it.
-Do not ride under the rain, wet and slippery surfaces, ice or snow. -For your own safety avoid riding backwards for too long. -Never ride under dark and/or gloomy conditions with low visibility.
-Always keep a safe distance between the vehicle and other persons and objects.
-Avoid riding on very steep slopes.
